Description

The Conservatory's first newsletter was published in May of 1924, and was called The Lyre. This collection contains fourteen issues of The Lyre, printed from 1924 through 1931. Newsletters include editorials written by Conservatory members or guest authors, information about musical happenings in the Bay Area, updates on the activities of students and teachers at the Conservatory, and stories and poems written by students in the Junior Department, which is now the Conservatory's Pre-college Division. The Conservatory's Archives holds school newsletters from later years. Please contact the Archivist with any questions.
